Meet Kim - She's a sophomore in the School of Management majoring in
Marketing and Finance. She is the Historian for Delta Sigma Pi, the
best co-ed professional business fraternity on campus. You'll find her
at Family Time, Lifegroup, Citywide, and Park Street Church on Sundays.
She spends most of her time studying in her dorm room or on the top
floor of Shelton Hall. Her favorite sports teams are the Red Sox,
Patriots, and Celtics. Her favorite athletes include Kevin Garnett and
David Ortiz. If you ever want to go to a game, let her know! She
enjoys going to concerts at the new House of Blues near Fenway Park.
Last year she saw 3OH!3, Hellogoodbye, Ben Folds, and Sara Bareilles
(just to name a few). She grew up in a Catholic home but completely
surrendered herself to Christ her Senior year of high school.
Surrounding herself with the Real Life community right when she got to college made her feel right at home in Boston. Want to hear more? Her email is kvega@bu.edu! Or at any Real Life event just go up to her, she's the really loud one ;]
Meet Lincoln - He's a junior majoring in computer science. You'll find him at Family Time, Men's Lifegroup and Citywide, and he goes to church at Fenway Church. He's not a big sports fan but his hobbies include theatre production, firefighting and tinkering with computers. He grew up in a Christian home but drifted from God freshman year thinking he could make it on his own. God got his attention this last spring and now he strives everyday to follow Christ. Want to hear more? His email is lwaller@bu.edu!
Meet Noelle - She is a second year grad student studying macro social work. When she is not studying social trends, policital patterns or Bible commentary, Noelle is probably hanging out at the coffee shop with friends or striking up a philosophical conversation with a total stranger. She prides herself at catching any facebook comment no more than 3 minutes after it was posted. On Tuesdays from 12midnight to 2am, Noelle sleeps. At almost all other times of the day or night you can contact her. She'd love to make a connection with you. Email her at noellesp@bu.edu!
Meet Ruthie - She is a grad student studying occupational therapy. She spends her time studying about people, hanging with people and spending time with an invisible person (God). In fact, you might say she's a people person. As such, she attends Real Life events religiously... Although she can be serious, you might find her at random moments singing, dancing, and laughing. Want to know more? E-mail her at rchen137@bu.edu!
Meet Sophia - she is a junior in Sargent College studying Health Sciences and Physical Therapy and is excited to be returning to BU after a semester abroad in Spain! Originally from Austin, Texas, 60 degrees is considered cold. Her best friends are toddlers, but college people are ok too. She loves to dance, and is a member of Dance Theatre group at BU. Want to hear more? Her email is sfguti@bu.edu!
Mike Thees is a sophmore in CAS, currently studying Physics and
Mathematics. You'll find him at Family Time, Men's Lifegroup and
sometimes Citywide, and he goes to church at Tremont Temple Baptist
Church. He is not dedicated to any one institution of God.
Therefore on Sunday mornings he can be found anywhere God can be found. He
enjoys obscure penalties that might be made up, occasional brute
forcing of a password he forgot, and periodically the game of Betrayal at
the House on the Hill. Not sure what any of that is? Ask him about it
and he will ramble on about it for what seems to be forever. But hey if
you need someone to listen to you ramble he is also good for that, and
is always ready to discuss it over a cup of coffee. Meet him at any aforementioned event or email him at mthees@bu.edu!
